REDDING, Calif. -- The Red Hawks sweep the visiting Beacons; winning 2-1 and 8-0.
Game 1:
Paris Hallums started the day again on the mound for the Red Hawks, showing her dominance by allowing just 1 run on 6 hits while striking out five. Hallums would run into a little trouble in the top of the 7th as the Beacons rallied to score one and got runners on second and third with two away. But Hallums would shut the door, getting Tra Kucera to ground out to short to end the game. Simpson's offense would be spearheaded by
Madison Wright who went 3-3 with 2 triples in game one, scoring both of Simpson's runs.

The Red Hawks offense exploded in game two, putting up 8 runs on 11 hits in just 6 innings.
Madison Wright would continue to lead the Simpson offense going 2-2, knocking in 3, and scoring twice. Simpson saw great performances on the mound from both
Courtney Dunn and
Kacey Pokorny who together allowed just 4 hits, struck out 2 batters, and allowed no free passes.
The Red Hawks will host their annual round robin tournament next weekend on February 10th and 11th, starting at 9 am on Friday.
