Biography

College: Laughlin is entering her third season playing for the Red Hawks.

High School: Laughlin played three years of varsity softball at Salinas High School, where she also played volleyball and basketball. She earned second team all-league (2012, 2013) and best offensive player (2012) honors. She played club softball for the Salinas Storm.

Personal: Amanda is the daughter of Ron and Vicki Laughlin. Her hobbies include sports, music, art, and snowboarding. Her career goal is to become a sports psychologist.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson because I liked the small campus and the one-on-one interaction with professors."
