LAWRENCEVILLE, Geo. - The Continental Athletic Conference announced its annual end-of-the-year accolades this morning.
Six Red Hawks earned accolades as
Brianna Lopez-Cortez,
Kassandra Soria,
Jacquelyn Lujan, and
Nicolena Holen earned First-Team All-Conference selections.
Lopez-Cortez highlighted the group as she took home CAC Newcomer of the Year honors and a First Team selection in the infield as she slashed .415 BA/.675 SLG%.490 OB%/1.165 OPS. She led the team in all four categories while leading the Red Hawks in hits (51), RBIs (36), home runs (7), and tied for first in doubles (11).
Soria, the Cal Pac Player of the Year earned a First Team All-Conference infield selection in the infield as she slashed .346 BA/.515 SLG%/.385 OB%/.900 OPS as she had a share of first with 11 doubles.
Lujan, the Cal Pac Pitcher of the Year earned a First Team All-conference selection in the circle as she posted a 12-7 record with a sub-two ERA (1.99) to go along with three saves on the year as she held opponents to a .195 batting average.
Holen rounded out the First-Team All-conference honorees with an At-Large selection. She slashed .361 BA/.526 SLG%/.437 OB%/.963 OPS while being tied for first on the team in runs scored (30) and doubles (11).
Madyson Welch picked up a Second Team All-Conference selection behind the plate as she ranked second in batting average .369 BA and RBIs (24).
Hollee Jamison doubled up as she took home the Cal Pac and CAC Champions of Character award for her professional display on the field.
