REDDING, Calif. - The California Pacific Conference announced the 2025 Softball Cal Pac end-of-the-year accolades earlier today.
Six Red Hawks earned All-Conference honors with junior
Kassandra Soria leading the way with the Cal Pac Player of the Year award along with sophomore pitcher
Jacquelyn Lujan earning the Cal Pac Pitcher of the Year award.
Soria had a stellar season as she earned the prestigious Player of the Year award along with a first-team All-Conference selection after coming off a season-ending surgery last year.
She led the Red Hawks offense in conference play with a team-high 24 hits while owning a .471 batting average. On the flip side, she locked down the hot corner as she earned a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage and committed zero errors while notching 30 assists.
Lujan had a fantastic season as she earned the Pitcher of the Year award along with a first-team All-Conference selection. She proved to be nearly unhittable in the circle as she owned a 0.52 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .142 batting average as she struck out 55 batters.
Reigning 2024 Cal Pac Freshman of the Year
Madyson Welch, returned as a first-team All-Conference selection in the Catcher spot this year. She slashed .325 BA/.400 SLG/.404 OB%. She proved to be integral for the Simpson pitching staff behind the dish as she owned a team-high 55 putouts while holding a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Junior
Brianna Lopez-Cortez made an immediate impact in her first year in a Red Hawks jersey as she earned first-team All-Conference honors. In conference play, she led the team with 12 RBIs while ranking second with 20 hits while owning a .435 batting average.
Sophomore,
Hollee Jamison also earned a spot on the first-team All-Conference squad as she made a key switch to first base and went on to hit .300 in conference as she tied a team-high with 55 putouts while committing just one error.
Junior
Jessica Heck earned a spot on the first-team All-Conference team as a Utility player as she saw time behind the plate and as the main designated player. She had a breakout campaign as she slashed .378 BA/.432 SLG%/.439 OB% in conference play.
Coach
Wayne Stower picked up his ninth Cal Pac Coach of the Year award as he guided the Red Hawks to its ninth Cal Pac title.
