REDDING, Calif. -- Simpson was dominant across the board in their first double header of the season winning 5-0 and 5-2.
GAME 1:
Paris Hallums continued her dominant ways allowing just 2 runs on one hit in game one of the double header. The Red Hawks would start off behind after Hallums allowed her only hit of the game to Avery Daniels who doubled over the left fielder's head, scoring Caitlyn Messman. Simpson would tie it up on an inside the park home run by
Bailey Akins in the bottom of the fourth and would score 4 more in the bottom of the 6th off 2 run singles from
Amanda Laughlin and
Kristin Beckman. The Beacons would score one more in the top of the 7th off a sacrifice fly by Madi Novelli that scored Paige Griffith. Hallums would get Janieve Boyles to pop out in foul territory in the next at bat to end the game.Â
