REDDING, Calif. - Simpson University softball won a pair of games against the visiting Northwest University Eagles, 2-1, 8-2.
Game 1:
The Red Hawks were confident with senior,
Amy Rodriguez on the mound and only allowed one run in four innings pitched.  Simpson reached seven times via the base on balls, but only recorded two hits in the victory. Hailee Nichols enter in relief in the 5th inning and recorded the three inning save. Solid base running on a double steal allowed the Red Hawks to score the deciding run in the 2-1 victory.

Game 2:
Simpson's bats came alive in game 2 bringing in 8 runs on 10 hits to beat the Eagles, 8-2. Â The Red Hawks once again were patient at the plate drawing four walks. Â Simpson scored one run in the first two innings, but exploded for a 4 run 3rd inning to break the game open for starter,
