REDDING, Calif. -- The Red Hawks put up 8 runs in the 2nd inning en route to a win over the Eagles 10-0.
Courtney Thomas and
Madison Wright ignited the Red Hawk offense, each going 3-3 and scoring 5 times total for Simpson. The Red Hawks would tally a total of 12 hits and get to the plate 24 times in just 4 innings.
Courtney Dunn took the mound and allowed just one hit and two walks to the Eagles.
With the win, the Red Hawks split on the day after losing to Southern Oregon earlier this afternoon. Simpson faces off against NU again in a double header tomorrow, starting at 10am.
