Simpson Swim Sets Records at the Logger Invitational

TACOMA, Wa. - Simpson's swim team had quite the performance at the Logger Invitational held by the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA this past weekend. 

Simpson was represented by four swimmers; Cloe Barthelemy, Alannah Lucin, Teo Barthelemy, and Liam Schroeder

These four Red Hawks had quite the day as they broke a total of 15 personal best swim times and had nine top 16 finishes against tough D2 and D3 opponents. 

Cloe Barthelemy had an impressive showing as she broke two school records in the women's 100 butterfly (101.87) and backstroke event (1:04.37). 

Barthelemy led the way by making her second National provisional cut but this time in the women's 100 freestyle. 

She is now currently ranked 61st in the nation in the 100 butterfly, 42nd in the nation in the 100 freestyle, and 35th for the 50 freestyle. 

Simpson swimmers battled various D2 and D3 competitors throughout the weekend as it provided a good mid-season temperature check before conference begins in mid-February.
