FULLERTON, Calif. - Paris Hallums tossed a one-hit shutout in game one of Tuesday's doubleheader at Hope International leading the No. 10 Simpson softball team to a 1-0 victory. The Red Hawks completed the non-conference sweep with a 6-3 triumph in game two pushing their season record to 25-3. The Red Hawks scored the game's only run in the sixth. Madison Wright and Courtney Thomas led off the inning with back-to-back doubles, respectively, and the Red Hawks won their fourth straight game. Hallums walked two and struck out six in pushing her season record to 10-1.

Game 2 - SU 6, HIU 3
Simpson won its fifth straight game led on the offensive end by Rachel Esse, who was 2-4 with a home run and Wright, who was 2-2 with a double, triple, and three runs scored. Carlye Avey moved her record to 11-0 on the season going 6.0 innings and scattering nine Royal hits. She allowed two earned runs. After the first two batters of the seventh reached for Hope International, Hallums come on in relief to record the final three outs and earn the save for SU.
