College: Thomas is entering her third season playing for the Red Hawks. During her freshman season, she earned all-conference and all-Cal Pac honors. She was named to the NCCAA All West Region Team and received Cal Pac Freshman of the Year honors. In 2015, she received all-conference honors.

High School: Thomas played three years of varsity softball at J.F. Kennedy High School, where she also played volleyball. During her junior year, she made second team all-league and received the Slugger Award. Her senior year, she was named to the All-Academic Team and broke the record for home runs.

Personal: Courtney is the daughter of Paul and Linda Thomas. She likes to hang out with friends, ride bikes, go to the beach, and be outdoors.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson University because it is giving me a chance to continue my softball career and also to grow closer in my faith with God."
