REDDING, Calif. - On a night when the Red Hawks honored six seniors -- Brett Bourdreaux, Rufus Humphrey, Jacob Kaler, Marc Kirkland, Sam Siler, and Dale Veamatahau, Simpson turned in its best performance of the season to upset No. 21 Cal Maritime, 61-58. It was a freshman, however, Josh Brakkee, who led the Red Hawks to the victory with 24 points.

The win keeps the Red Hawks in the hunt for the Cal-Pac title with two games remaining. Simpson trails Maritime by a single game. SU plays Thursday at Antelope Valley.
