SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.- In a strategic move to conserve the team's health, Simpson only traveled a handful of athletes for our race this weekend at San Francisco States Invitational. 

Regardless of the smaller crew racing, we did what the Red Hawks do and still produced a few standout performances. Leading by example, Kezia Pierce took home a truly impressive personal best, improving by a full minute and thirty seconds in her 6k race! On the men's side, Matthew Viramontez showed up ready to race. In one week's time, Viramontez improved his 8k season best time by another 20 seconds while running on a more difficult course.

The team will be back in action Oct 17 at the Bronco Open in Santa Clara, CA!
