ROCKLIN, Calif. -  The Red Hawks Cross Country squad headed to Rocklin over the weekend to run in Jessup University's Invite on Saturday. 

The men's and women's teams had a change of pace this weekend, with the men's race at a 4.1-mile and the women's race at 3 miles. 

The men's team took second place just behind Dominican University and ahead of Jessup University. Justin Montoya highlighted the men's team as he placed 3rd with Cade Salsedo coming in at 5th overall. 

On our women's team, Jewelia Zaragoza took 7th place overall and had a big 3-mile pr of over a minute from last year! 

Simpson looks to return to competition for the latter half of our season on Friday, October 10th, at the San Francisco State Invitational.
