REDDING, Calif. - The Red Hawks golf program hosted its annual Spring Invite at Riverview Country Golf Club over the past two days.
The Red Hawks hosted eight other schools; Southern Oregon, Grace College, South Western Oregon Community College, Corban, Oregon Tech, Bushnell, Providence Christian, and California Maritime Academy.
The men's entered two teams as they placed sixth and seventh respectively with the A team coming in sixth and the B team placing seventh.
Trey Alwert led the A squad with a +7 over the two-day invite as
Fynn Junghans,
Justin Kiester, and
Ty Salvador each posted a +9.
Keean Young rounded out the A team with a +15.
Ryan Gavin led the B squad as he shot +7 over the two days while
Drew DeGeorge and Craig Rowan posted +12 followed by a +15 by
Alfonso Del Pino and a +16 by
Owen Winton.
Adam Cotter participated as the lone individual on the men's side as he shot +9.
Gavin and Alwert each earned a top-20 finish as they had a share of 17th place out of 53 golfers on the men's side.

On the women's side, Simpson's
Michelle Euan and
Addison Jones competed individually as Euan placed 17th with a +25 and Jones followed close behind with a 20th place finish with a +29 over the two days.
South Western Oregon took home the team win on the men's side as they shot +10 as a team to edge Oregon Tech by one stroke.
However, the Owls took home the first-place finish on the women's side with a +46 as they edged Grace College by five strokes.
The Red Hawks look to be back in action next week as they take part in Cal Martime's tournament at Eagle Vines Golf Club.
