ATHERTON, Calif. - The women's wrestling team competed in the Oaks Women's Open hosted by Menlo College yesterday. 

The women's open consisted of 20 different schools ranging from NAIA, junior colleges, and various clubs. 

Simpson earned three-place winners in the 103 lb, 110 lb, and 131 lb. weight classes. 

Aphrodite Ayala placed the highest with a fourth-place finish in the 103 lb. class. 

Jacqueline Placenia and Clarissa Cabrera each notched a fifth-place finish. 

Placencia competed in the 110 lb. class while Cabrera wrestled in the 131 lb. class. 

The women's team looks to be back in action this Saturday as they head down to Sacramento City College before concluding the regular season at Southern Oregon the following weekend.
