FRESNO, Calif. - Simpson University women's wrestling competed at the Bill Musick Open in Central California this past weekend.

109 lbs. weight class, Aphrodite Ayala finished in 2nd place, while Jacqueline Placencia finished in 1st place in the 116 lbs. weight class.

The Red Hawks had two other wrestlers finish in first place, Vivianna Garcia-Reveles in the 235 lbs. weight class and Eve Barrington in the 155 lbs. weight class.

Teri Denny took home second place in the 155 lbs. weight class.

Overall, it was a very successful weekend for the Red Hawks especially with multiple wrestlers competing in the Cal Pac cross country championships the day before.

Women's wrestling is back in action at the Mile High Open in Arizona this weekend.
