FORREST GROVE, Ore. - The women's wrestling team took part in the Boxer Open hosted by Pacific University this past weekend. 

Simpson had an outstanding performance as seven girls placed in the top five with Sophomore Clarissa Cabrera taking home the highest honors as she placed first. 

Aphrodite Ayala and Addrie Rodriguez followed close behind with second-place finishes. 

Ayala and Rodriguez are both coming off a stellar week as Ayala placed first and Rodriguez placed second in the Mat Cat Open in McMinnville, OR last weekend. 

Other placers included Jacqueline Palacenia coming in fourth at the Boxer Open while Sabrina Stewart took home her second consecutive fifth-place finish in back-to-back weeks. 

The women's team looks to be back in action this Sunday as they take on Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR.
