SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Simpson University's cross country team traveled down to the Bay Area for one of their biggest competition stages to date.

Jewelia Zaragoza continues her PR streak, knocking off another 20 seconds from her time. Nieva Parsons returned to the race course after recovering from injury to finish only 10 seconds away from her lifetime personal best. Grace Balke, Alexis Heredia, and Kezia Pierce worked together to create a tight pack, securing personal bests for themselves, finishing only a few seconds apart.

Justin Montoya led the men's team and finished only 1 second away from tying his personal best. Matthew Viramontez had a standout performance, securing a major PR of nearly 30 seconds, leaving him knocking on the door of breaking the 29-minute barrier! Colton Silva and  Benny Peralta both took home lifetime personal bests, showing consistent improvement from race to race.

Simpson University's Cross Country team looks to close out the year at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational before hosting the Cal Pac Cross Country Conference at West Valley High School.
