PORTLAND, Ore. - The track and field team headed north this weekend to compete in the Larry Byerly Invitational this past weekend held by Lewis and Clark College. 

The invite consisted of some of the best NAIA and D3 schools in the nation. Including a few D1 and D2 schools like Western Oregon and Portland State. 

The Red Hawks faced stiff competition but still emerged with a few personal victories. 

On the men's side, Liam Oliver placed 5th in the high jump, coming in close behind some of the top-ranked high jumpers in the nation. 

On the women's team, they had more times dropping with some personal bests posted. This included Jewelia Zaragoza and Abby Kang all having season bests in the 800 and 1500. 

The Red Hawks look to be back in action next week at Soka University as they will compete in the Cal Pac Championships.
