SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The track and field team competed in the Westmont Classic this weekend in Santa Barbara, CA. 

Simpson saw the debut of several distance runners as they have been battling injuries as of late. 

The first-time runners produced solid results given the circumstances of limited practice time due to injuries. 

Liam Oliver proved to be the standout performer for the Red Hawks this past weekend as he placed second in the high jump. 

Oliver produced a season's best 6'4 while falling just short of a first-place tie. 

Simpson looks to be back in action on April 6th at Cal Poly Humboldt.
