CHICO, Calif. - The track and field team competed this weekend in the Wildcat Open held by Chico State. 

Simpson got back on the track as they had a rainout last week at the Shasta College Invitational. 

The Red Hawks squad continues to make leaps and bounds under first-year Head Coach Jonathan Hall. 

A few noticeable performances by Liam Oliver who had a big day as he won the men's high jump in his first appearance of the season. 

Daniel Summeril added over a meter in distance to his Discus PR throw while placing in the top seven out of 30 other competitors. 

Jewelia Zaragoza made her collegiate track debut competing in the open 800 meter. 

The Red Hawks will take part in the rescheduled Cody Beaumont Invitational at Shasta College this Saturday.
