Box Score GILBERT, Ariz. - The women's soccer team pushed its win streak to five games as they shut out Park-Gilbert 1-0. 

The Red Hawks and Buccaneers battled tough as they held each other to only a combined six shots in the first half. 

Simpson struck first in the 57th minute when Chloe Tague found the back of the net for her team-leading fifth goal of the season off an assist by Monserrath Bedolla-Guzman. 

Kiah Gridley held strong in between the posts as she completed the clean sheet by posting four saves. Gridley picked up her fourth win of the year in conference play. 

After tonight's win, the women's soccer team kept pace with UC Merced and hopped Embry-Riddle in the Cal Pac standings to move into a tie for first place. 

The Red Hawks will look to stay hot in Arizona as they take on Benedictine-Mesa on Sunday at 6 PM.
