Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 ARIZONA - The Red Hawks get swept in the first series of their Arizona trip as Benedictine displayed their bats in the three-game series. 

Simpson struggled to stop Benedictine Mesa's bats as they scored 33 runs in the series.

In game one, the Red Hawks were limited to only three runs, losing 13-3. Two of their runs came in the first inning from a Brady Meeds double and a Micah Kele single. In the fourth inning, Braxton King hit a solo home run, scoring the Red Hawks' final run of the game. Starting pitcher Eric Winchester started the game well, giving up one run in the 1st inning. He ran into trouble as Ben U's bats heated up. Ben U scored two runs in the 4th inning and four runs in the fifth. 

Benedictine carried their momentum into game two, scoring 11 runs through five innings. The Red Hawks had a late rally in the 7th inning as Logan Gomes hit a two-out grand slam, bringing life back into Simpson's dugout. Simpson scored three more runs in the 8th and 9th inning, but it was not enough to complete a comeback. SU lost game two of the series 11-9.

In the final game of the series, Ben U's bats continued to do damage, defeating the Red Hawks 9-4.

Simpson will play Park University Gilbert on Tuesday, March 14. The game is the rescheduled matchup from last week's postponement due to rain.
