REDDING, Calif. –Coach Edgar Mendez, the head Women's Basketball Coach has announced that Livi Lyndsey will join the Red Hawks as a graduate transfer from Northwest University this upcoming season. She will be eligible to play for the 2022-23 academic year.
A 5-foot-9 guard, Lyndsey, averaged 12 points per game her senior season. She is also a solid rebounding guard, pulling in three point seven boards per game, as well as filling up the stat sheet with two point one assists per game. Lindsey, a senior from Redding, led the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 72 steals and two point four steals per game all while being named the Cascade Defensive player of the year. She was also an Honorable mention All-Cascade Conference nominee.
Prior to playing at Northwest University, Lyndsey helped Redding Christian High School, to a 24-4 record her senior year while averaging 20.4 ppg, three point eight rebounds per game, one point eight assists per game. and four point six steals per game.
"I am so excited to welcome Livi back home so she can play in front of her family and friends," said Mendez. "She is a hard-working kid who will enhance our Simpson family on and off the court. We are going to get a big boost in the program with having someone of Livi's talent join our Red Hawk family.
