REDDING, Calif. -Coming off a win from last night, The Simpson Women's Basketball Team fought hard all game to keep that win streak going and ended up beating Lincoln University 75-60. While this was a makeup pre-season game and not a Cal-Pac game, the Red Hawks hope to ride this winning high into their upcoming games. 

Despite trailing the entire first quarter and a majority of the second quarter, the Lady Red Hawks would come back from as much as a nine point deficit and gain the lead right before halftime. 

During the third quarter, both teams would take turns gaining control of the lead. However, despite Lincoln putting up a tough fight, Simpson would end up securing the lead for the entire fourth quarter and eventually beat Lincoln by 15 points. 

Senior guard Breesia Northern would lead her team inn points scored tallying up 14. Tymiko Patterson would dominate on the floor getting 14 rebounds and being the second leading scorer on her team with 11 points. Seniors Ariadna Rubio and Kayla Gairns would tie each other in more than one category, both finishing with eight points and four rebounds.

Tonight would be the Women's Basketball Teams final home game of the season, but fortunately they were able to clench this win before traveling to Santa Cruz ths weekend. The Lady Red Hawks will hopefully continue their win streak when they play the UC Santa Cruz Slugs, Saturday the 19th at 5:30 PM.
