Simpson University competed in the Cal Pac Championships this past weekend in Fresno, Calif.

Amanda Simpson led the Red Hawks with a time of 22:43 and finished in 29th place in the race. Joy Taylor was close behind in 33rd at 23:35.

Both Simpson and Taylor's times beat their previous race time by almost two minutes. 

Eve Berrington recorded a time of 29:02, followed by Aphrodite Ayala at 29:30, and then Teri Denny at 32:08.

The sixth place finish out of nine teams is one of the best finishes as a team in recent history. This result will be something the Red Hawks can build on heading into the 2023 cross country season.
