SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Simpson University men's and women's swimming competed today against Biola University and Westmont College.
The Red Hawks notched four first-place finishes, two second-place finishes, two relay wins, and broke two school records as they continue to make a name for the young program.

Tom Higdon,
Pablo Ortega, and
Francesco Corsini joined together to bring first place home in the men's 200-yard medley relay. Maurer also took home the gold on the men's 200-yard freestyle winning by more than half a second and won the men's 50-yard freestyle. Higdon dominated the men's 100-yard breaststroke finishing ahead of the field by more than two seconds.
Irene Lopez recorded a top-three finish in the women's 50-yard freestyle and completed the women's 100-yard freestyle right behind
Taryn Monnot who finished fourth.
Simpson overall finished 2nd on the men's side and 3rd on the women's side.
SU swimming continues to put a stamp on NAIA swimming on the west coast with another impressive showing.
