REDDING, Calif. -- Simpson started off hot but couldn't keep pace as La Sierra battled back to win.

The Red Hawks led by as much as 16 before the half, but struggled in the 3rd allowing the Golden Eagles to climb back in. La Sierra would outscore the Red Hawks 22-10 in the 3rd and 20-16 in the 4th to force overtime. The Red Hawks would continue to struggle defensively in OT and eventually fall 77-72. La Sierra was led by Amanda Sanchez who led all scorers with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Simpson had three players finish with double digits; Whitney Rodriguez and Brea Carter both finished with 10 while Esther Wofford added 15.

Simpson falls to 7-4 in conference putting them into a third place tie with Benedictine. The Red Hawks take on Pacific Union next Saturday at 6:30 pm for Senior Night.
