REDDING, Calif. -- With the victory over PUC, Simpson tallies its 15th win of the year, the most since the 2002 season.
The Red Hawks trailed by five at the end of the first quarter but outscored the Pioneers 26-5 in the second and wouldn't relinquish the lead again, winning 72-53.
Whitney Rodriguez led all scorers with 21 points and 8 rebounds, Wofford added 16 points, and
Alyson Rippingham contributed 12 off the bench. PUC had three scorers in double digits: Ewing added 14, Stepanchuk 13, and Lyers added 12.
