TURLOCK, Calif. -- Simpson showed glimpses of just what they're capable of Sunday afternoon, but couldn't string together opportunities falling twice to Stanislaus State, 6-3 and 6-0.

Game 1:
Zane Medeiros took the mound for the Red Hawks and in his third appearance of the season, dazzled in the first five innings. He headed into the sixth with a 2-0 lead and a no-hitter. The Warriors would notch one in the bottom of the 6th and in the seventh they found they're groove and posted a 5 run inning. Simpson would tally one more run in the top of the 9th but that would be all for the Red Hawks as the Warriors took game one, 6-3.

Game 2:
Simpson fell behind early in game two giving up four runs in the first and two more in the second. After that, the Red Hawk pitchers Alfred Souza IV and Zachary Morgan settled down allowing just two more hits in the next 3 innings. Unfortunately for the Red Hawks any chance of a rally was cut short by the rain as the game would get called in the bottom of the sixth, ending the game in a 6-0 victory for the Warriors.

Simpson looks to bounce back as they return home and take on the Hustlin' Owls from Oregon Tech in a double header starting at 12 pm at Historic Tiger Field on February 21st.
