Biography

College: Yoder is entering his first season playing baseball for the Red Hawks. He transferred to Simpson from Luna Community College prior to the 2016 season. He received honorable mention Central Valley Community College Conference honors.

High School: Yoder played two years of varsity baseball at Yosemite High School. He also played football, basketball, and rugby. He received first and second team all-North Sequoia League baseball and football honors. He also was a scholar-athlete.

Personal: Garrett is the son of Karen Nixon and Ken Yoder. His hobbies include wakeboarding and snowboarding. His career goal is to become a business manager and family counselor.

Reason for coming to SU: “The Christian environment will influence me in a positive way and allow me to get a good education and play baseball.”
