Box Score 2 Redding, Calif. -- The Red Hawks early season struggles continue as they drop two more to Menlo.
Game 1:
Simpson started off behind after allowing three runs in the 1st inning. Even though they would go on to score 6 runs on 10 hits they would still fall 10-6 to the hot hitting Oaks offense. Curfman, Bertotti, and Klement would each tally 2 hits and a RBI for the Red Hawks as the Oaks offense was spearheaded by a 2 run home run and a RBI triple from Joe Gillette.

Game 2:
The pitching woes continued for the Red Hawks in game 2 of their double header as Menlo would score in each of the first 5 innings and put up 5 more in the 8th. Simpson would add 2 runs of their own in the bottom of the 5th inning and another in the 9th but that would be it for the Red Hawk offense in game 2 as they fell 12-3. With that loss Simpson falls to 1-4 on the season. In their next match up the Red Hawks take on the Hustlin' Owls from Oregon Tech in a double header on Tuesday, February 7th, starting at 12p.
