KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Simpson University women's basketball battled with the number two team in the nation, Southern Oregon, but fell 77-63.
The second quarter allowed the Raiders to expand their lead by outscoring Simpson by 10 in the second quarter. The Red Hawks came roaring back out of halftime cutting the lead to six twice.
Simpson had three players in double figures including Kelsie Jurin who finished with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
Fallon Greenhaw had a team-high 16 points on 5 of 11 from the floor.
The Red Hawks shot poorly from the floor at a 34 percent clip as a team, but kept themselves in the game with solid defense, holding the Raiders to 36 percent from the field.
Simpson will now face Oregon Tech on November 19th at 5:30 pm in Klamath Falls, Ore. Simpson will look to beat the Owls for the 3rd consecutive game.
