REDDING, Calif. - Simpson women's basketball falls to Northwest Christian University, 71-69.

The Red Hawks led most of the second half, but could not hold on as the Beacons finished the 4th quarter strong.

Whitney Rodriguez, once again, had a big night, finishing with 22 points on 9/10 shooting.  Esther Wofford ended the game with 16 points despite shooting just 5 of 17 from the floor.

Simpson held the Beacons to 36 percent from the field on the evening, but the Red Hawks sent Northwest Christian to the line 27 times.

Simpson falls to 2-5 on the season and will look ahead to a trip to Oregon to face Southern Oregon University and Oregon Tech on November 18th and 19th.
