La Sierra Spoils Senior Night for Red Hawks

REDDING, Calif. - After cliniching a spot in the Cal Pac Conference tournament on Friday against Embry Riddle, the Red Hawks were unable to move up in seeding after lossing to La Sierra on senior night in three straight sets (31-29,25-22,25-20). 

Simpson had five chance to close out the Golden Eagles in set one (24-23, 25-24,26-25,28-27, and 29-28) but came up short 31-29. Set two would display another close match as there would be six ties and three lead changes. La Sierra would escape with a narrow victory 25-22. The third and final set, SU would struggle to gain moment falling 25-20.

In their final home game Jazmin Wallace recorded seven digs. Fellow senior Chelsea White posted eight blocks and Michelle Aleong had one ace. 

Ashley Cervantes led the Red Hawks with 14 aces and 24 assist. Kesley Reibsamen had 11 assist and Madison Rinehart led with 14 digs and 13 kills.

The Red Hawks will head to Riverside, CA for the Cal Pac Conference Championship on Nov.11, where they will face top seeded Embry Riddle.
