College: Jansen is entering her second season playing both volleyball and basketball for the Red Hawks.

High School: Jansen is an outside hitter who earned MVP, first team all-league, second team all-state, all-defensive team, and scholar-athlete honors while attending Days Creek High School. She also played basketball. Her volleyball team made it to the state championship game three times and came away victorious twice. During her four years at Days Creek, the volleyball team only lost one league game, and that was in Jansen’s freshman year. In addition to being a member of the National Honor Society, Jansen received the President's Education Award and Student of Merit honors. She earned multiple science awards, including being recognized by the Willamette Valley section of the Society of Women Engineers for honors in science and mathematics.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I chose Simpson for many reasons, one being everyone I have met has been nothing but kind. I see Christ all throughout this school. Also, I like the fact that it is small and offers an incredible learning atmosphere."
