College: Sanchez is entering her fourth season with the Lady Red Hawks.

High School: Sanchez played four years of varsity softball at Rosary High School, where she was a four-time scholar-athlete. She earned Trinity League honorable mention honors her junior year and second team all-league honors her senior year. She also played in the senior all-star game. She played club softball for the OC Dynasty.

Personal: Darby is the daughter of Richard and Laura Sanchez. She loves sushi. Her career is to be rich.

Reason for coming to Simpson: "I came to Simpson to play softball."
