OLYMPIA, Wash. - The men's soccer team dropped its final game of its Washington road trip today against Evergreen State 2-0.
The Red Hawks and Geoducks held each other off the scoreboard for the entire first half. Evergreen State outshot the Red Hawks 8-1 in the first half as
Julian Mejia posted three saves between the posts.
The Geoducks broke the scoreless tie in the 58th minute as Brock Larsen found the back of the net with the help of Luca Viana.
Evergreen State added an insurance goal shortly after as Markus Winkler-Cook found the back of the net in the 61st minute off an assist by Viana and Kolby Juarez.
Mejia suffered the loss between the posts as he tallied five saves. His counterpart, Rico Ewell, notched the win as he came in the second half and posted one save.
With the loss, the Red Hawks conclude their preseason play going 2-5-1 as they took down Lincoln University and Walla Walla.
The Red Hawks have a two-week break as they get set to take on Westcliff on October 2nd at 7:30 pm to begin conference play.
