EUGENE, Ore. - Simpson's Beach Volleyball squad kicked off play in Oregon today as they fell in straight sets to (RV) Bushnell, 5-0. 

Simpson took the first set in the first match as Kimora McKechnie and Brooklyn Jimenez took down Bushnell's Hailey Heider and Kate Palelek 21-17. 

However, Heider and Palelek responded by narrowly taking set two, 21-19, to force a deciding third set. McKechnie and Jimenez came up short as they fell 15-12 to give Bushnell the early 1-0 team lead. 

The Beacons rolled from there as they took the next four matches to complete the 5-0 team sweep, as they did not drop a single set for the rest of the way. 

The Red Hawks are back in action tomorrow as they take on Corban at 10 am and at 2 pm before coming back home.
