REDDING, Calif. - The women's soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw today with Bushnell University.
The Simpson attackers proved to be active in the first ten minutes of the game as they fired five shots.
Bushnell came inches away from scoring the first points of the game as a shot in the 16th minute trickled too far to the left, and a shot in the 23rd minute hit the top crossbar.
The Red Hawks drew first blood in the 24th minute as
Chloe Tague posted her first goal of the season on a forty-yard shot.
However, the Beacons scored the equalizer in the 52nd minute as the Beacons had an active second half by shooting the ball nine times.
Simpson shot the ball six times in the second half, but they could not find the back of the net.
With the tie, Simpson goalkeeper
Kassandra Rita-Carbajal posted her first career tie in the post as she picked up seven saves.
Simpson looks to be back in action next Saturday as they take on Corban at 10 am.
