SALEM, Ore. - The women's soccer team took on Corban University today in a non-conference matchup.
Simpson attackers had a busy first half as they outshot the Warriors 7-3 with four shots on goal.
However, neither team could find the back of the net as they remained scoreless through the first 45 minutes of play.
The Warriors struck first in the 54th minute as they pushed across the game's first goal.
Unfortunately for Simpson, Corban's lone shot in the second half proved to be the difference maker as the Warriors held onto the 1-0 shutout victory.
Simpson dominated play but could not find the back of the net as they outshot the Warriors 17-4 in the game and had nine corner kick opportunities compared to Corban's one.
Iris Van Dalfsen picked up one save in the loss between the posts as she moves to 1-1-0 on the year.
Nadia Santiago and
Chloe Tague led the Simpson attackers with five shots each.
Simpson looks to continue play in Oregon as they take on Oregon Tech on Monday at 1 pm.
