KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The women's soccer team concluded its preseason play today as they fell to Oregon Tech, 2-0.
The Red Hawks and the Owls held each other off the scoreboard in the first half as Simpson outshot OIT 6-5.
Simpson notched three shots on goal by
Chloe Tague and
Litsy Munoz but could not find the back of the net, while
Iris Van Dalfsen picked up one save in the post in the first half.
However, the Owls drew first blood in the opening minutes of the second half to grab the lead. But the Owls added an insurance goal shortly after in the 68th minute to extend their lead.
This proved to be enough for OIT as they closed out the shutout victory, as they outshot Simpson 11-2 in the second half.
With the loss, Simpson finishes 1-3-1 in preseason play as they get ready for their conference opener this Sunday at 10 am against Pacific Union.
