VALLEJO, Calif. - The women's soccer team continued to stay hot as they moved to 2-0 in conference play by taking down Cal Maritime tonight, 10-0.
The Red Hawks dominated the contest as they outshot the Keelhaulers 43-3 with 23 shots on goal.
Chloe Tague started the scoring as she found the back of the net in the 21st minute, followed by a goal by
Cassandra Grabiola in the 24th minute on an assist by
Litsy Munoz to extend the Red Hawks' lead.
Iris Van Dalfsen continued the scoring for Simpson as she notched two goals within five minutes, with both goals being assisted by
Chloe Tague.
Tague continued her big first half as she picked up her second goal of the game in the 40th minute, followed by a goal by Serneity Torres to close out the Red Hawks' big first half.
Sophomore
Claire Brown joined the scoring as she picked up Simpson's next two goals in the 62nd and 75th minutes, with
Nadia Santiago and Dalfsen picking up the assists.
Dalfesn closed out the game with her third goal in the 85th minute to cap off Simpson's dominant victory as she picked up three goals and two assists.
Tague had quite the game as well; she posted the brace with a pair goals and assists to own a share of the team lead in goals and assists.
Brown had a breakout game as she picked up the brace with her first two goals of the season.
Simpson looks to stay hot as they hit the road to SoCal to take on Westcliff this Friday.
