REDDING, Calif. - The women's soccer team fell earlier today against Southern Oregon 2-0. 

The Raiders drew first blood in the 14th minute as they successfully converted on a corner kick to take the early lead. 

Simpson had its chances in the first half as they fired four shots but could not find the back of the net. 

Southern Oregon added an insurance goal in the 47th minute to take the 2-0 lead as they converted on yet another corner kick. 

The Red Hawks matched the Raiders' shooting attempts, but they could not push through the equalizer. 

Iris Van Dalfsen suffered her first career loss between the posts as she moves to 1-1-0 on the year. 

Nadia Santiago took the bulk of the shots for Simpson as she fired four shots, with four being on goal. 

Simpson looks to bounce back this coming Friday against Bushnell at 10 am at the California Soccer Park.
