Simpson drops a high-scoring battle on the road at Oregon Tech

OIT prevails for the 100-85 victory

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The first points of the night came from senior guard Nian Allen, who opened the scoring with a jumper early in the game. Simpson answered with Dylan Harms finishing at the rim and kept the pace through the opening minutes.

Oregon Tech heated up in transition, building a double-digit lead as the half progressed. Tim Parker and Aidan Rolfs each provided inside scoring with a combined 12 points, and Saben Attebery led the Red Hawks on the boards with four rebounds to end the half.

Simpson struck early in the second half as Allen buried a three, and Jack Jillson added another to garner some momentum. Oregon Tech countered with a barrage of baskets, which included threes and in-the-paint finishes that extended the Owls' lead.

The Red Hawks kept fighting back. Saben Attebery sparked a run with a couple of strong finishes and a jumper, while Allen added a highlight dunk to pull Simpson within 28 points. Tim Parker and Kellen Torrey chipped in with timely buckets, combining for 15 points to keep Simpson within striking distance.

Ultimately, Oregon Tech's shooting and offense were too much to overcome, and Simpson fell 100–85 on the road in Klamath Falls.

Allen paced Simpson with a team-high 19 points, while Attebery and Parker each had key contributions, combining for 28 points.

The Red Hawks will be hosting Bushnell University on Friday at 7 pm at the James M. Grant Center to begin the Simpson Classic.
