EUGENE, Ore. - The men's squad continued play this afternoon in the Dave Lipp Classic as they took on host school Bushnell University.

The first points of the game belonged to Drey Ubas as he hit a three-pointer to give Simpson the early lead.

Simpson extended its lead to as much as nine points with eleven and a half minutes left in the first half as Kellen Torrey drained a three.

The Red Hawks held the Beacon's offense at bay as they never relinquished the lead in the first half.

Ubas replenished the nine-point lead with a layup to make it a 32-23 Simpson lead with just under five minutes in the half.
