ROCKLIN, Calif. - The men's basketball team fell to Menlo College 76-49 to conclude play in the Bill Holtz Classic.

Timothy Parker as he converted on a mid-range jumper.
A jump shot by
Kellen Torrey rounded out the first-half scoring for Simpson.
However, the first half belonged to the Oaks as they went into the half up 42-14.
The Red Hawks looked to chip away in the second half as a bucket by
Derek Gorden followed by a three-pointer by
Drey Ubas got Simpson rolling.
But, Simpson could not overcome the deficit as they fell 76-49 to wrap up the weekend.
The Red Hawks had a strong second half as they outscored the Oaks 35-34.
In the second half, the Red Hawks outscored the Oaks in the paint (16-12) and points off the bench (16-12).
Kellen Torrey had a team-high eight points off the bench and
Sam Shields led the team with six rebounds.
Simpson looks to be back in action this weekend as they take part in the Dave Lipp classic hosted by Bushnell University.
