ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Red Hawks and Warriors settle for a 0-0 tie after the full time is played. The winless Warriors were in search of its first win of the year but were denied by the 1-1-1 Red Hawks squad who are coming off a hard fought match against the OIT Hustlin Owls.
The first half stalemate included constant Simpson attackers as they outshot the Warriors 8-4.
Monsarrath Bedolla-Guzman led the attack in the first half with two shots followed by shots on goal by
Yisel Ybarra,
Kayla Arias-Lerma, and
Rachel Steele.
The second half was a constant battle as the Warriors and Red Hawks exchanged shots back and forth. The Red Hawks outshot the Warriors on the day 12-9 but were unable to find the back of the net.
However, Goalkeeper
Kiah Gridley earned the tie as she recorded one save and preserved her first full clean sheet of the year.
The Red Hawks are set to play its last preseason game this Sunday at Home against Warner Pacific University at 12 PM. Student development will be hosting a tailgate from 11 AM to 1 PM in celebration of opening weekend.
