Men’s Basketball Has a Tough Time Against Saint Katherine in Loss

REDDING, Calif. - Simpson takes a big hit against Saint Katherine, losing 87-50 and splitting the season series.


The Red Hawks had a difficult time stopping Saint Katherine's offense allowing them to score nearly 50% of shots from the field and from three.

Simpson's top scorer for the night was Javonntie Jackson, putting up 14 points with nine rebounds. Jackson shot 6-for-11 from the field and put down two free throws. Kevin Robello followed right behind with 13 points and sinking three three-pointers.


Akin Branco came off the bench scoring 11 points for the Red Hawks. Nine of his points came from behind the arc, and the other two from the free throw line.

 

The Red Hawks look to bounce back from this loss in their final home game on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m. against Westcliff.



This Saturday will be the last home game of the regular season for the Red Hawks. The seniors will also be celebrated at Senior Night before the game.
