FRESNO, Calif. - The Simpson University Red Hawk freshman and sophomores wrestled tough today at the Bill Musick invitational tournament.


Three of our Red Hawk Wrestlers placed in the tournament all taking third Place medals.


Chris Guizar 133lbs


Tomas Jacobo 149lbs


Joseph Andrade 157lbs.


In his 3rd place match, Guizar pinned his opponent from Arizona Christian University in the first round,


Tomas also pinned his opponent, Anthony Nunez (Modesto CC) in the first round.


Joseph was able to dominate his opponent from Fresno City College 16-6 for a Major decision to avenge his one-point loss from last week's dual meet vs Fresno City.


Overall the team's underclassmen have performed great.


The full team of Red Hawk wrestlers Women and Men's teams will travel to Prescott, Az next weekend to compete in the Mile High Open.
